The Course

This 1-day course covers the requirements and application of risk assessment to EN12100, primarily for machinery and work equipment.

Why should you attend?

Risk assessment forms a mandatory part of the Machinery Directive and Supply Regulations as well as being a requirement under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Act.

This training offers a detailed methodology of risk assessment. It will look at hazard identification and risk evaluation and methods for recording, reviewing and maintaining assessments. You will be supplied with a template for carrying out your own risk assessments. At the end of this course, you will be able to carry out risk assessments of your equipment.

Who is it for?

Engineering managers, project managers, machinery designers, process engineers, safety engineers and anyone else who is responsible for carrying out machinery risk assessments.

How is it delivered?

The course consists of 1 day of presentations, worked examples and interactive participation with question-and-answer sessions. The day will run from 09.00 to 16.30, with breaks for refreshments and lunch. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
