The Course

This 1-day course covers the content and application of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (as amended).

Why should you attend?

All employers have an obligation under PUWER to ensure all work equipment supplied to their employees is safe to use and is being used safely.

This training offers a module on Risk Assessment and an overview of the content of PUWER, an explanation and a practical application of risk assessment, and a method for the application, implementation and management of the PUWER regulations at your workplace. You will be supplied with templates for risk assessments and PUWER assessments. This course will allow you to carry out risk assessments and PUWER assessments for your own workplace and equipment.

Who is it for?

Facility managers, engineering managers, production managers, safety managers, process engineers, production team leaders and anyone else responsible for managing, specifying and purchasing work equipment.

How is it delivered?

The course consists of presentations, exercises, worked examples and hands-on application. It provides interactive participation and question-and-answer sessions. The day runs from 09.00 to 16.30 with breaks for refreshments and lunch. All participants receive a certificate of attendance.
