The Course

The 1-day training programme covers an introduction to EN13849-1 : Safety-related parts of control systems. This 3-day training course covers control system safety and EN13849 parts 1 and 2.

The 1-day training offers you an introduction and brief overview of EN13849-1. During the course you will learn about the terminology used and how the standard is relevant to you and your business.

The 3-day training offers you an in-depth approach to EN13849 1 and EN13849 2 compliance. During the course you will learn how to apply the standards, how to calculate and verify safety parameters and you will be given instruction on validation techniques. This training will enable you to perform your own EN13849 analyses. A number of practical examples and exercises are included in this course.

Engineering managers, electrical and mechanical engineers, project managers, purchasing managers, machine and control system designers, safety or process engineers and anyone who needs to apply the EN13849 standard.

How is it delivered?

Both courses consist of presentations, worked examples, interactive participation and question and answer sessions. The day(s) will run from 09.30 to 16.30, with breaks for refreshments and lunch. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
