Lifting equipment compliance - 1 day course

Focus on applying the Machinery Directive and UK Supply of Machinery Safety Regulations to lifting equipment. Aimed at engineers, designers, importers, manufacturers of machinery and giving information on understanding the differences between user responsibilities under Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) and manufacturer obligations for the design, build and test of compliant lifting equipment.

Safety of equipment not classified as machinery - 1 day course

Focus on equipment that does not directly fall under the Machinery Directive or the UK Supply Regulations, such as mounting brackets, containers, stillages, trolleys and work platforms. Provides a pragmatic approach to approaching safety and testing. Information on roles and responsibilities, applicable legislation and safe design.

Machinery Compliance to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations - 2 day course

Aimed at machinery designers, manufacturers, buyers and suppliers who need to ensure that machinery is safe and CE/UKCA marked. This popular course will address the risk assessment process, the Essential Health and Safety Requirements, compilation of the technical file and general CE/UKCA marking requirements. Focuses on outlining the obligations of the manufacturer in complying with CE/UKCA marking regulations.

Risk Assessment - 1 day course

Focus on the risk assessment process to EN12100 from the design phase throughout the life cycle of a product. This practical course addresses hazard identification, risk evaluation and methods for recording, reviewing and maintaining risk assessments.

Control system safety EN13849 - 3-day course or 1 day introduction

In-depth approach to EN13849‑1 and EN13849‑2 compliance covering content and application of the standards, how to calculate and verify safety parameters and validation techniques. Covers a Sistema software module and contains a large number of practical examples. This course can also be offered as a on day introduction to the subject matter.

PUWER, Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations – 1 or 2-day course

The two-day course consists of a day of work equipment risk assessment and a day of PUWER assessments. The one-day course focuses on PUWER assessments. The course covers the process of work equipment risk assessment, the content and application of the PUWER regulations and practical risk assessments and PUWER assessments.

Electrical safety of machinery (LVD, Low Voltage Directive) - 1-day course

Focus on the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive, the role of BS7671 Electrical Installation and EN60204-1, testing methods and technical documentation required to prove conformity. Aimed at designers and engineers.

EMC compliance for machinery (Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive) 1-day course

Focus on requirements of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive, good design and engineering practice, testing methods and technical documentation required to prove conformity.

ATEX, DSEAR and IECEx – 1 or 2-day course

The one-day course provides an introduction to use of equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres, with an overview of the regulatory structure. The two- day course deals with the main complexities that arise with methods of protection for electrical and non-electrical equipment. It includes use of official guidelines, industry codes of practice, IECEx documentation and delves into main Area Classification commonly known as zoning.

Internal audit training – 1-day course

This course is aimed at internal auditors and management teams who would like to improve the effectiveness of their internal auditing process. This practical exercise-driven course covers process-based audits, audit plans, performance of the management system, reporting and follow-up based on ISO19011 – Guidelines for auditing management systems.

UKCA and CE Marking of pressure equipment - 2-day course

Focus on the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive with regards to simple pressure vessels. Specifically covers equipment Categorisation, the different modules with associated conformity assessments, EHRs and technical documentation required to prove conformity and understand the CE/UKCA marking process
