This 1-day course on equipment for use in potentially explosive
atmospheres (inc. ATEX, DSEAR & IECEx)

Why Attend

This course will provide an introduction to this area with an overview of the regulatory structure. It will cover methods of protection for electrical and non-electrical equipment. It will deal with the certification of equipment by independent third parties and ‘self-certification’. The course will also cover the safe use of equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres, including zoning, equipment selection, installation and maintenance.

Who is it for

HSE managers, machine manufacturers, purchasing managers and people new to ATEX and DSEAR regulations.

How is it delivered

The course will consist of a combination of presentations, exercises and worked examples and will involve interactive participation with question and answer sessions. The day will run from 09.00 to 16.30, with refreshments and lunch provided. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
