History & Introduction

Amtri Veritas was founded in 1990 and formed part of the reputable engineering organisation, AMTRI Ltd. They formed part of the Amtri team who wrote the first Machinery Safety Standards, therefore giving them fifteen years of experience in the writing of ISO systems.

In 1999, Amtri Veritas was approached by the Department of Trade and Industry and requested to become an approved notified body under regulation 18 (1) of the supply of machinery safety regulations. This enabled Amtri Veritas to perform machinery safety examinations as part of the official government sponsored CE Marking processes and listed them as a government approved body for the checking of Quality (ISO 9001) and Environmental (ISO 14001) standards.

In 2004, Amtri Veritas was purchased by InVeritas Global Holdings (Pty) Ltd (IGH Group), a South African based organisation, specialising in modern risk management solutions.

Run by a strong team of quality and engineering specialists, Amtri Veritas is able to provide clients with a tailored blend of services. The professional expertise and extensive global experience within legislation and assessments held by the experts of Amtri Veritas form the basis of an invaluable and in-depth service for all companies across the globe.
